How much does the consultation cost?
ADHD Assessment : 1000 euros for two appointments. Because it is an online clinic, I asked to be paid at the booking, a secure link is send by text message.
When previously assessed by another psychiatrist: First appointment costs 320 euros.
Follow-up: 160 euros.
Prescription renewed : 15 euros.
Payments are due when the appointment is booked.
Can my health insurance reimburse my appointments?
Most health insurance companies will allow the reimbursement of the consultation fees, or part of them, on a pay and claim basis. VHI, Laya are reimbursing partially the assessment depending on your policy. Check this with them.
Can I use my Medical Card?
If you have a Medical Card, I will send the prescription to your GP who will transcribe it for your pharmacy.
Do I need a GP referral?
Yes, you need a GP referral. Remind your GP to add your email address in the referral letter. GP are essential in this process, they know you well and can discuss symptoms to make sure it is a good idea to go for a full assessment.
I already have a psychiatrist who treats my depression/anxiety, can I still book an appointment for ADHD?
Yes, you can book an appointment for assessment even if you have another psychiatric condition as we know there are often different psychiatric conditions intertwined with ADHD. I will get in contact with your team to clarify the best way to help you.
How do I request a repeat prescription?
This service is only accessible if we already have already had an online appointment. Send an email to drmaryevans@gmail.com to request a prescription, bearing in mind it takes up to 5 working days to receive the prescription.
This prescription is only valid two weeks for stimulants, so you need to collect your medication at your pharmacy respecting this delay.
15 euros are charged per prescription.
I think my child has ADHD, can I book an appointment for them?
I am an adult psychiatrist and I only propose assessments to people aged 18 and over. If your child is under 18, contact ADHD Ireland to ask them who do assessment for children and adolescent.
Is Dr Evans available at weekends?
I am available from Monday to Thursdays. I work part-time.
